A lot of people wasted a lot of money... Actually, I think the same people wasted their money several times ... I can imagine huge groups of gay-righters viewing it multiple times just to push the box office #s.
I also read that Hollywood was purposely fudging (no pun intended) the numbers to make it look like a bigger hit than it really is. Probably just a rumor though.

The latter is unlikely. Studios are very competitive and see the same numbers every week. If they thought someone was exaggerating they would scream bloody murder.

From what I am hearing from my HS and College daughters, the girls go for the hot guys.
Also hearing that now there are constant rumors about someone being gay, acting gay, trying to be gay, that many are suspected by what they say or do, girlfriends breaking up with boyfriends over suspicions, its hysterical!
It reminds me of all the people who were suddenly "taken over by the devil", after the Exorcist came out.

Apache2, are you sure RightWing isn't that troll Willie?No , he isn't
RightWingAtheist
Since Sep 9, 2003
But if you read his profile page you'll see he is one of those atheists that thinks he is conservative because he believes in small governemnt, etc. but since he acknowledges no god or anything higher than himself, he is free to make up his own moral "absolutes" or lack of, I should say and have no one higher than himself for accountability

Maybe I should have said, American Pop culture. My son had a course on pop culture in the communications dept of ASU. The author of the first book on pop culture that was used stated that pop culture was driven by the media and promoted in the public school systems to dumb down the population and keep them in control. He didn't say it in such harsh terms, but that is basicly what he was getting at.

If you want to know what bad is, then that Clooney middle eastern movie is a prime example. Worse than Constant Gardener....I would rather go to teenage sex comedy film that waste my time with leftists propraganda being shoved down my throat.

In any advanced society like our's you're going to have several major media centers controlling what gets made most of the time. That doesn't mean the result is automatilally inartistic. You're confusing the means of production with the product. Whatever factory system style production the Old Studios had in the 40s and 50s they still produced great Art every now and then.

I bet hollywood is diverting profits from one movie to another in order to reduce the profit "points" payouts.
Hollywood accounting is very creative.
Remember "comming to America" never made any net profit. (accountant wink)

Obvious troll and believe some are on the Rush thread. The gays have plenty of time to troll when the're not boinking and designing dresses.
