Sadly, I have been rethinking whether Chaffee will lose to Laffey. While I would love to make him pay for voting the wrong way, I am less confident that the conservatives will turn him out now that Alito is appointed.

But at least the penniless nephew of the Forbes empire who by the way also served in Vietnam and who later became a gigolo in the Senate can ask the telling question "What about me?"

Really?

I've read that less than a third-if that-Republicans in that state support him.

In fact, it says on Laffey's website that more Republicans support Jake Reed, which doesn't surprise me in the least.

How can he possibly win a GOP primary against a popular, conservative Republican mayor?
