Join us today for the final victory lap, the vote to "confirm Samuel Alito, of New Jersey, to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court."
It's all over except the final vote tally.
Lots of surprises yesterday at the HUGE vote to impose cloture, so perhaps there are still some surprise votes to come?
I take that back; I want him to STAY as minority leader. I like it because he's the face of the DNC.

FDR's first SCOTUS appointment was a VERY liberal Senator who turned out to be a KKK member.
Oddly enough, Justice Black's dissent in Griswold v. Connecticut is one of the all-time great dissents. It predicted the politicization of the Court to a T.
