My smut filter would not let me onto that link. Must be pretty ugly over there right now.

"Why isn't that considered your basic "disturbing the peace" move?"

You'd think it would be. It might also be considered a move to hide the sound of gunfire. Let's hope the secret service is doing it's job and is alert. I know I would be arrested for disturbing the peace if i were to walk up and don the street banging pots and pans, let's see some GUTS from Washinton police to do the same to these sicko's.

"Law enforcement should threaten to hose them down with soap and water."

In 1969 when I first arrived in London a bunch of hippies were naked in a fountain and then the fire department came and hosed 'em out of the fountain. Wish I'd had a video/movie camera it was a beautiful sight.

I'll pass on that revolution, thank you. What a depressing looking bunch.

If I copied and pasted, I'd have to leave out every other word. If possible, Kos was worse.

Lol! I can sleep then, I guess? :)

Right. But if some guy knocks on your door, check his forehead. Many of them still have jelly just above their eyes (where the electroshock terminals were attached) and they're not looking to borrow sugar.

Smoking pot and spilling their bed pans. There that's more like it!

Same old anti- America and anti- Bush bashing 24/7 as always. It seems they are frothing at the mouth a little more than usual lately, possibly because Alito will be confirmed.

Sorry all, I forgot that law enforcement can't use soap on the hippies now due to McCain's anti torture law.

"Law enforcement should threaten to hose them down with soap and water. Or cut up their credit cards their parents gave them."

I doubt any have been near that since before the Vietnam War, and the credit cards are now more than likely welfare checks.

Wow, 27 of them sentenced to prison. That's a pretty good start.

I'd say I was stunned they got any time at all, but it's obvious that this judge wasn't in the mood for a bunch of smelly hippies telling him they had a right to trespass on a US military base in time of War.

Good for him, and thanks for providing me with that little tidbit of information.

Mr. Clark, the Vietnam-era Democratic attorney general who is an attorney for former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, spoke for 10 minutes.
His voice faltered, and he seemed to lose his train of thought. "President Bush is the greatest threat to peace and human rights," Mr. Clark told the crowd, calling for Mr. Bush's impeachment, which drew applause.

Hmm.... Someone who supports Saddam is against Bush. Hmm.. I'm not suprised.

I'm reminded of the classic science fiction story, "Marching Morons," by C. M. Kornbluth.

I remember it well.

``The Marching Morons'' is a very famous story by C. M. Kornbluth. It was originally published in Galaxy, April, 1951. The story has since been reprinted many times. It is widely considered to be an SF classic and has been included in the Science Fiction Hall of Fame. There is a series of SFHF books, in which you can find this story reprinted.

It would probably be more apt to say "smoking pot" and "banging each other"------except they're to old to get it up any more!

If they bang the pots and pans and miss hitting them will that also be Bushs fault?

Thank God, Cindy made it back! It just would not be a kook-fest with out her.
I look forward to the day when, inevitably the door on her forhead will open and a small bird on a spring will launch out repeatedly while Cindy says "Kookoo, Kookoo, Kookoo".

Only then will the truth of her words impress me.
