I wouldn't of said that same type of comment if I were alive during the time of WW2 about the media when the MSM was actually on our side.

Nothing warms my heart and makes me feel quite so patriotic as a message board coward with a persecution complex cheering for the serious injury and possible death of an American citizen (a married father of four no less! hurrah! A whole family of traitorous cowards has been grievously affected!). I sure hope that when a relative of mine is killed or injured I will be able to log on to FreeRepublic for an instantaneous assessment of their character and the justice of their misfortune by someone who knows nothing about them either personally or professionally.

Everyone should buy and read the book "My War" by, of all people, Andy Rooney. It's all about how he and everyone else covered WWII, and from today's perspective, it is stunning how steadfastly pro-American the reporters were, every last one of them. It's a great read, and it's been a few years since it was published so you can probably find copies on eBay or half.com for a couple of bucks.
