This war is a couple years old. There have been countless journalists from around the world accompanied by camermen filming trillions of feet of tape of missions, firefights, outright battles, door-to-door seek & destroys, you name it.

Where are all these tapes? The MSM must bury them in vaults somewhere. We NEVER get to see our intrepid, highly-trained troops in action.

Do we have to wait to see these tapes on the History Channel 10 years from now?

Forget the WMD's. Where are the war tapes? WE WANT TO SEE THEM!

(......probably the MSM liberal big-wigs view them and then ship them to be hidden in Syria. The truth is they don't want us to know we're in a REAL war).

If the guy had been doing a nightly report on some of the GOOD things going on over in Iraq, he might still have all his faculties.

Oh, that's right...showing the American people that the infrastructure and schools and hospitals...the police and military training are all being rebuilt.

That doesn't keep viewers...at least the 49% that are liberal democrats.

Because we have human compassion and dignity. We even treat enemies that take up arms against us, as well as civilians.

Thank you for that comment.

I despise the way the media distorts the truth about what goes on here, but we're all Americans I don't wish the violence on anyone. I hate it when Iraqi troops and police and innocent Iraqi civilians get hit as well.

And of course, our troops and their families are in my prayers every day.

I wonder if Code Pink will protest outside their hospital when they are returned to US soil?

I hope no soldiers were hurt.

Exactly what I was thinking. I haven't heard a single word about any soldiers on any of the network stories about this. Not a word that the soldiers were safe or injured.

Typical.

My FoxNews channel is out again, I wonder how they're covering this.

It's a tragedy when anyone is injured by these retrograde islamofacist terrorists, but I grieve more for soldiers than journalists, especially liberal journalists.

As cruel as it may sound, I enjoy seeing moonbat peace activists get whacked. I figure they're damaged goods to begin with and are better off being culled from the gene pool.

It's Bush's fault.
If there were a list of banned phrases on FR, I would put this at the top.

I'll second that. It is getting quite old to see it over and over again.

Maybe the US troops told them to travel on that side of the road? I see a story in that.

ABC sent Woodruff to Iraq to provide negative spin on President Bush's State of the Union Address on Tuesday. Woodruff was supposed to report live from Iraq during the address.

I don't have a link to support that conclusion- instead- I have a son who served as a combat soldier in Iraq. I've spoken with him (and several buddies he served with) about our media over there. Their conclusion? War is not a game- it is ugly, brutal, unfair and messy..and YET..journalists continue to treat it (war) and them (soldiers) as though it should be a video game. What struck them most was the sympathy shown for the enemy, (by journalists) and the thinly veiled disgust shown toward soldiers.

From listening to them- I would say "despised" is a reasonable description.

Brave guys. Most media people over there stay in their hotel, I thought. Since it was media who were injured by "insurgents", would this be classified as a case of them being hurt by friendly fire?

When journalists proudly declare they're neutral in a war between good and evil, when Reuters knew about terrorist attacks in Iraq early, showed up and photographed them, yet didn't warn US troops, people wonder what's going on. PC/Leftist journalism gets people killed -- soldiers and journalists alike. That said, of course, we wish these two journalists hadn't been hit and pray for their full recovery. It's dreadful, terrible news, but the MSM has a lot to answer for. Most people wonder what it will take for MSM and Liberals to wake up. How many innocents have to die? Mark Steyn's column posted this am on FR touches on this.

i was just thinking the same thing. it's funny how the MSM attitudes only begin to change on subjects until one of their own is the victim.

Prayers for all - US military if involved, Iraqi soldiers, the reporters and all their families and friends.

Old MSM will handle it just like the French and Walter Krankheidt. They will wave the white flag and probably compare this to the Tet Offensive.

Bob who?

Exactly. I've never heard of him either.

Except a few Dan Rather broadcasts and 9/11, I haven't watched network news since I've had cable (a long time). I even have to look up which channels the network alphabet channels are if I want to find a particular network (usually for a sports show).

Today, I'm ashamed to be a FReeper.

You have to know in most FReeper's hearts they wish no ill upon Bob Woodruff.

We have come to realize many of those in the media would like US to just be quiet and let them rule the country in their devious way. They have essentially become the enemy with their slanted reporting. Their affection for 'human rights' for even the most heinous people is actually just a desire for global socialism. FReepers don't want Bob Woodruff to die; rather, they want our tried and true American way to live. He just happens to be the current in-our-face representative of an enemy that thinks it is being covert.

The MSM is still on the side of the terrorists. They'll sacrifice Woodruff just like they sacrificed Jill Carroll.
