Senator Ken Salazar's office is taking a poll right now on how many calls. DUers are calling and e-mailing all the Democratic Senators regardless and the Senator who are sitting on the fence about filibustering said they are waiting to see how many calls they get. WE HAVE TO ACT NOW!

No we don't.
On this one, the moderates will come out. If the left gets its 41 votes, mazel tov. They will still force a nuclear option, Alito will get confirmed and more RAT senators will be defeated in 06.

They will do what MoveOn.org wants them to do. And the anti-American New York Times. So expect a filibuster from the TRAITORS in the US Senate.

Based on a very long and thoughtful analysis of the record and transcript, which I tried to indicate in my floor statement yesterday, Ive decided that I will vote no on cloture.

I can't help but think that it's a bone being thrown to the barking moonbat wing of the party, i.e., DUers, like a futile "you have spoken and I am listening" move, but Alito will still be confirmed.

Based on a very long and thoughtful analysis of the record and transcript, which I tried to indicate in my floor statement yesterday, Ive decided that I will vote no on cloture. Lousy, rotten liar. "The record", my a$$. There was one and only one "record" that Fineswine "analyzed", and that was abortion.
I really, really wish that for once these 'Rats wouldn't insult our intelligence like this. We all know that abortion is all they care about. If they would just be honest with us and themselves and come out and say they are voting against these nominees (Roberts, Alito) because of the abortion issue, they'd at least merit some respect for being "honest", at least about why they are voting as they do.

From NRO:
"PRETTY SERIOUS YODELING" [Byron York]
From today's White House briefing:
Q: Can I also ask you, on Senator Kerry's comments, what is your reaction to the filibuster call by Senator Kerry, on Judge Alito?
MR. McCLELLAN: On his call yesterday? It was a pretty historic day. This was the first time ever that a Senator has called for a filibuster from the slopes of Davos, Switzerland. I think even for a Senator, it takes some pretty serious yodeling to call for a filibuster from a five-star ski resort in the Swiss Alps. (Laughter.)
