Then find a different line of work.
"That's an utterly foolish reply."
No actually it's not.
Yes it is. If a physician was required to perform abortions there would be outrage -- this is no different at all.
"this is no different at all."
I beg to differ. The pharmacist is setting herself up as judge and jury on matters she's making assumptions about.
Now I'm done.
Physicians who don't want to perform abortions simply work at places abortions aren't performed. If a place suddenly starts performing abortions (which doesn't happen these days anyway), they move on. There are many pharmacies that don't provide the morning-after pill and most pharmacies are badly in need of pharmacists.
Depends on where the physician gets a job. If he's working for Planned Parenthood then he's probably going to be required to perform abortions, if he doesn't like it he probably shouldn't get a job with Planned Parenthood.
This is different. Most doctors are their own boss. She isn't, she is required to do what her boss says.
If a physician was required to perform abortions there would be outrage -- this is no different at all.
__________
Of course it is different.
The comparison just doesn't work. It is obvious to all that doctors specialize in certain types of procedures. A doctor who performs abortions wouldn't need to be forced to do so. A doctor who for whatever reason chooses not to do that kind of procedure would never be "forced" to do a procedure for which they are untrained.
Indeed there is a difference. Of course explaining it to you would require an understanding of private industry not being beholden to you or anyone else because you 'feel' they should be. As I doubt you have that basic understanding, I'm not going to bother.
