The Senate meets at noon today, again in Executive Session, for the 3rd day of debate on the nomination of Samuel Alito to SCOTUS. Not sure, what, if anything, will happen today..Will there be a filabuster?..will anyone show up..might be work while checking out the beginning of the session, to get the lay of the land....

I don't know how many saw it, but Alito was introduced to the Judiciary Committee by fellow New Jerseans, Sen Lautenberg and (who was the former female NJ gov who served on Bush Cabinet? forgot her name...brain burp)
anyway when they were introducing Alito to the committee, she recommended Alito. Lautenberg introduced Alito, but refused to endorse him, even when Spector jokingly asked if he wouldn't like to do so.

7 RATS made a deal not to filibuster unless there are extraordinary circumstances, each Senator to determine what is extraordinary.

It's now quiote clear that, to the Democrat 'leadership', "extraordinary circumstances" means anyone who would shift the balance of the SCOTUS to the right.

"What is this man talking about?"

I'm not watching TV, but thanks to Freepers who are, I can see what must be going on.

It sounds to me like Sen. Kerry is sounding like 'ole Foster Brooks from the "Dean Martin Roast" shows. Foster rambled on insanely - - he made no sense at all. Dean Martin's expressions of amusement and confusion in response were priceless.

That's it! I've got it! This is really a Dean Martin roast. Silly me.

...he makes so little sense that I can't even find stuff to condemn what he's saying usually.

Kerry does one of the great "Chicken Little" impersonations of all time. He is the prototypical Dim---"If we do not prevail, kids will be shot in the back of he head etc.."

All that the Rats have is fear itself.

Since he left the "F" word out..he is gonna be in SO much trouble at KOS...and DUmmieland.

Once again, he went for the easy Purple Heart instead of charging into the real battle...

Yes, in accordance with the Constitutional rule that says each SCOTUS Justice must be replaced with one of the exact ideology, or leaning toward the left. Rightward direction is hereby ruled unconstitutional.

I cannot believe Leaky is going on about the Vanguard business again. Isn't he embarrassed?

I don't think that Democrats are capable of embarassment.
