TK: And besides, I'm told my table is ready... so I yield.
Bryd ... is... talking... so... slowly.
I have noticed recently a great deal of deference given to Byrd when he manages to make it to the floor. I think it is just his physical condition they are taking into account.
Great idea. I'll e-mail him.
Kennedy yields to Byrd who wheezes, "Mr. President, how much time do I have?"
Sounds like my fine tuner went haywire and I've tuned into Marcus Welby MD.
Damn, I am working, lurking, and listening to Rush. And now I want to stream C-Span. I have to resist to keep my job but please keep me posted as to how many times he repeats key phrases.
he has two sentences on each page.
Byrd ... For the LOVE OF GOD... pick up the pace... you're killing the ratings !!!
Ya figure?
Now "Sheets" is up, asking how much time he has.
This SOB has to be over 80, apparent not that much time left at all!!
My prediction is that the only reason that they have orchestrated sooooo much time for Byrd is that he is going to make the most convoluted arguement has to why he MUST vote against the nominee.
Is he actually representing the people of West Virginia???
(looks for smelling salts)
Seems like he is scolding the behavior of the senators who attacked Judge Alito during the initial hearings. Whoa.
My world is spinning again!!!
West Virginian's told him they were appalled. They called it an outrage and a disgrace. Not ginned uo by special interest groups but letters written on lined paper (whatever that means).
Many objected to the hearings, do not support Alito.
Made for tv antics? Is he calling into question Mrs. Alito's crying?
He's describing the type of paper used in the letters he received from constituents....lined, and sometimes they used personal stationary.lol
Great analogy....and these Senators know what they are doing...and why...I just hope that Lieberman has a hard time sleeping tonight...and looking in the mirror tomorrow.
He just took 'em to task for the way they conducted themselves in the hearings of Judge Alito. I'm sure he was talking of his own party.
Hummmmmm
It almost sounds like Byrd will be a yes, but I'll wait till he says yea or nay.
