Our American president went to the National Security Agency in Ft. Meade, Maryland, to speak with staff and address the press there. Click here for text of his remarks. He also spoke with former clerks of Judge Alito's.

Laua Bush oversaw the "Coming Up Taller Awards" in the White House, an initiative of the U.S. President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities overseen by the first lady. This is for after-school events that promote the arts in youth.

Slightly better than last night. This morning was horrible - I had a headache that was so bad, I cried when my husband turned the water on to wash the dishes. The noise hurt!

I'm hanging in there .. company I work for shipped my new computer and monitor (nice flat screen instead of my big heavy clunky one), so I'm trying to get my home office squared away .. and make room for work STUFF in an already crowded apt. But, I'm sure SO grateful to be working from home and traveling north an hour to the office only 1 day/week. Are things OK in your family?

I've had headaches that bad, but they're migraines. Fortunately, my doctor put me on some meds that usually keep them from getting that bad any more.

Been meaning to tell you that I am getting much better results using the horseradish in a jar, mixed with lemon juice, than when I was using the juicer. It must be because the juicer I had wasn't powerful enough. In any event, the sinus bleeding has stopped and the pain is less. I was not getting as good of results with antibiotics.
