Of course Byrd has never tried to hurry-up the federal government while it was deliberating on coal mining issues. [/sarcasm]

West Virginia's two U.S. senators [Byrd and Rockefeller] and three congressmen have all urged federal regulators to hurry up and decide how to enforce mining laws so coal companies can start getting permits again.
