Leahy's big point seems to be that this is not a party line vote, but a vote of conscience. Dems will seperately vote their conscience.

Democrats are such liars. Leahy is saying Bush was forced to withdraw Miers name for SCOFUS. LIE! LIE! LIE! SHE WITHDREW HERSELF.
Which might be more believable if they didn't force a 1-week delay so that Reid could have a meeting with all of them to discuss the strategy for the vote.
