I think someone needs to start a pinglist of science fraud. There's been tons of articles lately - the fake oral cancer "study" from, IIRC, Norway and the fake Korean guy come to mind.

Scientists wear no haloes of pure motivation as a group. In my mind they're around the same notch as used car salesmen and the lawyers that have those huge sticking out ads in phone books.

My apologies, I misunderstood zeeba neighba's claim. While he didn't state it explicitly, I was taking his comment to refer to frauds supposedly done to support evolution. I admit now that I should not have made this assumption, as there was no wording to either state or even imply such an exclusive range (unlike creationists, I admit when I make errors).

Of course, my responding to this should show that zeeba neighba's claim that I will "shut up" in response to references to lies of scientists is itself false.
