American Idol homophobic?
According to entertainment and celebrity website TMZ.com, officials at the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) are fuming about the Fox show's attitude toward gay people.
GLAAD is mad about the acerbic comments that Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson made to contestants on the show's debut a few days ago.
"Shave off your beard and wear a dress," Cowell told one would-be contestant, while Jackson asked another male reject, "Are you a girl?".
GLAAD also notes that Ryan Seacrest and Cowell regularly exchange on-air insults, each implying that the other is gay.
The only reason I've watched it was to see Simon slap people around. I know I can't carry a tune in a bucket, but no one could trick me into going on national TV to prove it.
WTF?!?!!?

EXCERPT
ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT? YEP! The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation is none too pleased with "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson for questioning the gender of 18-year-old contestant Zachary Travis, with his sparkling belt, feminine-looking top and long hair. "Are you a girl?" Jackson asked incredulously on last week's installment. "No, I'm a guy," Travis assured him. That prompted Jackson to persist: "You are?" GLAAD's Damon Romine told Lowdown: "The real offense here was in the producer's decision to add insult to injury by turning his gender expression into the butt of a joke." Alas, Travis' cover of Whitney Houston's "Queen of the Night" failed to earn him a trip to the "Idol" competition.
Didn't you see that kid Mike?
After seeing it, you could understand Simon's question right?
now I could yeah....

I didn't watch it, but NOW I know what my wife was talking about....

The real "spice" came from the Ukrainian girl who sang Bohemian Rhapsody. I was watching it with my wife, who said, 'my gawd, all she is missing is a poll.'
The funny part was the girl did not understand that they were telling her that her future was in being a stripper, not a singer.
Could be, but I think he's funny.
