The way Cowell treated [fill in name of any tone-deaf singer on the show] was cruel and unnecessary. The only reason I've watched it was to see Simon slap people around. I know I can't carry a tune in a bucket, but no one could trick me into going on national TV to prove it.

Simon give some spice to the show The real "spice" came from the Ukrainian girl who sang Bohemian Rhapsody. I was watching it with my wife, who said, 'my gawd, all she is missing is a poll.'
The funny part was the girl did not understand that they were telling her that her future was in being a stripper, not a singer.
