Can one of our good friends to the North explain what "dissolution" refers to? And what is a "Riding?"

Sorry I'm ignorant of the Canadian government system. Also, when will the first partial returns be in and where can we find them?

Dissolution refers to a just dismissed Parliament. Riding is a U.K expression for a parliamentary constituency roughly equivalent to an American congressional district.

"Dissolution" is the disbanding of the House of Commons and is synonymous with the calling of an election.

First results are now coming from the Maritimes, but the results from Central Canada will be available after 9:30pm EST.
