However, there have been times in Canada where the Grits who had less than the Tories in seats formed a government with a coalition. You have to go back to 1925 federally.

As I recall, the numbers were a lot closer in 1925.

They were. Also, the Lib-NDP total is short by about 20 seats so they have no chance.

You are correct. There was a similar issue back in the 1980s in Ontario.

The press are really lapping this up - disgusting.
