If JimRob, etc. approve this is the Live Thread for the Canadian General Election, on January 23rd, 2005.
We have a while to go before the returns start coming in, but I thought the thread needed to get up and running.
Have anyone found a good interactive map yet?
The cbc.ca map isn't updating until ridings are officially called.
Congrats Canadians!
ugh, get off my tv, belinda stronach!!!
But they draw around 20% of the vote...
Kudos to our Canadian neighbors for votin' right!
Colour ALL OF ALBERTA TORIE BLUE!!
"Maybe Belinda will stick around to help oust him...and replace him with herself."
I really doubt that the Liberals are dumb or suicidal enough to elevate that turncoat to be their leader. On the other hand...
Can't wait to see the first Bush-Harper meeting!
Blinda ain't all that.
But are they desperate enough? :-)
Anybody got the final numbers? Did the Tories get close to 130 (if we add in that conservative-leaning independent from...somewhere?)
And what's better is that Landslide Annie finally hit the trash heap of history.
is there like a US-like election map for Canada too?
i'm curious to see how eager harper will be for such a meeting with bush.
it might hurt him domestically, so he might hold off a while and keep it low-key
Haven't looked at a map of Canada lately. Didn't know it was so huge. A shame that a small strip of the East Coast controls such a huge heartland.
Yeah . . . well, there's no accounting for taste.
Uh-oh . . . Paul Martin just left his hotel to head for his car.
Nothing's final yet - BC isn't counted and some seats are still out in Quebec and o. Right now, it's
CON -124
LIB - 103
BQ -51
NDP - 29
IND - 1
Admit it. She's a hottie.
A loon, but a hottie nonetheless.
Why are all the cute crazies Liberal?
