I still can't believe that Law & Order is still on the air after all this time. One would think they'd run out of ideas by now.

They did. Years back. Same with the CSI's.
When you "rip from the headlines" your stories, you will never run out of ideas.
The one thing that annoys me about the shows, is that they will take a story from the newspapers, then use it, ON ALL 3 SHOWS with different variations of it.
I've seen them milk the tragedy of Shiavo, into not just 3 stories, but 4 of them, on 3 shows, and from totally different points of view.
One thing you see more often in L&O these days are cases where the leftwing writers/producers come up with some leftwing agenda they wish to push, then construct a thin plot around that agenda. Whether its gay marriage or the idea that the real terrorist threat are racist white vigilantes, you can count on Law & Order to carry the left's water.

Pretty boring stuff, as you always know the ending -- the white guy did it.
Yawn.
lol Well lets be honest Law and Order has only ever been one idea. Provacative crime, they think they find the obvious suspect, run into a dead end of some kind, leading them to another suspect, leading them back to the original suspect in some clever way or to someone unexpected. Its one idea but its done well most of the time.

Well...I hope they don't cancel it anytime soon. My husband and I have gotten addicted to it now, probably because it's on somewhere on the dial 24/7!
Moving it's time after all these years probably means they want to get rid of it, too.
They get all their ideas from the newspapers, they won't run out.
