But the dialog in that show was just too slick to be realistic. People talked too smoothly in these long flowing sentences. People are not that smooth in real life. They search for the right words, stammer sometimes, and amend things they just said. They needed more MASH dialog on that show.

Yes, I agree 100% about the unrealistic dialogue of the West Wing. People praised it because it was so clever and witty and slick, but as you say, noone talks like that in real life, at least not all the time. It sounded as if it had been written, instead of coming across as natural. It was just one more thing about the show that I really disliked.

Acknowledged. But I never watched WW expecting it to resemble reality anyway, much like I view liberal governmental programs :-).
