I expect Shanahan to call an onsides kick. Anything else is basically a surrender, when your opponent has put up points on every possession and TDs on the last 3 you need to avoid giving them the ball to start the 2nd half if at all possible.
He just might. The Steelers would be happy to just kill six minutes on their opening drive.
