It was the Southern Democrats who inserted 'sex' into the language of the Civil Rights Act as a ploy to make it untenable, not foreseeing the social repercussions it would unleash.
Lyndon Johnson was certainly the worst president in my lifetime if not for all time. Most of our current maladies from high medical costs (Medicare and Medicaid) to the horrific decline of our inner cities (Welfare) can be traced back to his administration. And then there's Vietnam....

Confederate diehards are just about as patriotic as a UN worshipping Liberal. If the South had won, we wouldn't be The United States, we'd be two different nations.
I don't know how old you are and how long your can hold it, but you might wait until Carter and Clinton are Satan's butt-boys and then you can make a pretty decent Southern road trip out of it!!
Live in a Southern state for a couple of decades and get back to us on that.

As it is, I still had one of my relatives ask me if I was going to marry "a brown girl". To top it off they were baffled as to why they weren't invited to the wedding. As one of his sons later fell in love, married and now has children with a beautiful Mexican lady, he's changed his tune. It's that or never meet his grandchilren. God works in wondrous ways...
