Hopefully, I'll be the one eating that crow.

According to al Libbi, it takes six to 12 weeks of travel in the remote and inhospitable areas along the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, where bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahri are still hiding.

Must take longer to get messages out of HELL, I would think.

Afganistan Banana Stand

Isn't that the code for launching armageddon? You had better not toss that around lightly.

I like this theory regarding the Zawahiri audio tape:

Is This Zawahiri's Eulogy?

Definitely interesting. And certainly more plausible than the idea that this tape was designed to convince anyone that al-Zawahiri was still among the living.

Murderers hunker.
In dank caves tensely they fret.
As predators watch.

Bravo!

Haiku is such a civilized means of expression of the greater truth.

This makes sense to me. Especially the part about the rest of the gang, including Sub-human Monster #3, follow though with dinner without Sub-human Monster #2 being present. I think we got him.

If "locals" (al queda security?) quickly removed the bodies, then what about reports that disguised Paki ISI, who just happened to be right nearby, arrived just before the locals? Could it be they were following orders to collect hair and other samples to be spirited away for DNA analysis?

Intelligence allows one to deduce likely consequences as a result of one's actions.

Everyone you listed is in la-la land on that front.

Someone that was highly intelligent could have inflicted far more damage than OBL and crew with the resources at their disposal.

Intelligence allows one to deduce likely consequences as a result of one's actions.

Adolf Hitler was unable to deduce the likely consequences of his actions, yet his intelligence is rarely questioned. And many, many serial killers are described as highly intelligent by those who profile them.

I don't believe insanity and intelligence are mutually exclusive.

Since people are still posting to this....

As an aside: by way of the usual tangent while searching for copies of the above photos, I discovered you can now buy Arthur Dent and the REST of the characters from Hitchhiker's guide! You can even buy miniature props!

You've just profiled the average, high-level terrorist. I'm not kidding.

Alright, what specific thing has OBL done that has shown any exceptional intelligence?

Perpetrating the largest attack on American soil using 19 men armed with only boxcutters comes immediately to mind.
