Thats what I am saying...studio stuff is quite timid, live is so much better.
Thats why I collect and use to record live shows....a really good band live is mind blowing.
Most bands play the same set,over and over-- note for note, cookie cutter....yawn.
My favorite bands never did that.
NRBQ NEVER played the same set twice, never used a "set list", they were truly remarkable...no band in the history of music will EVER approach what they did.
No one knows them , so I know that statement means very little.
Bob is great because he changes the arrangements of the songs...I love it, some people don't like that.
Van Morrison is also one of my favorites and still is performing outstanding shows....I have tons of live shows of Van.

Quicksilver, in the liner notes from the "Anthology" double album, says that they never played a song the same way twice live. Said it "ruined the song".
