We still have to watch the main events in "prime time" ? When will NBC learn ? When will we be able to see the big events live. I love the Olympics. I am sick of NBC's coverage

Also joining the telecast will be Dick Button

As a young man, I could have used one of those.

400 of the hours will be for "up close and personal" stories.

and 400 hours of it will be commercials, Bob Costas talking, and those human interest stories that always have "some dramatic story line of what adversity the athlete overcame to compete".

I'll program my DVR to record it. I'll watch it around 11pm and skip the commercials, personal interest stories, figure skating and Gen-Y idiots doing ski tricks. I should be done watching by 11:30.

375 hours? That comes to 63 hours and 45 minutes of commercials, promos and station ID announcements, another 60 hours of talking head pictures (big hair and smart uniforms with emblems on jacket breast pockets a la Seinfeld jacket episode), roughly 120 hours of so-called 'human interest' sob stories about the various incurable diseases affecting athletes' family members. The rest will be sports, sports, and interviews with the athletes with the sort of intelligent questions all sports fans everywhere expect: ""How does it feel ______________?" (fill in the blank). Can't you just wait?

NBC fixture Bob Costas again will be the primetime host of the games.

I'm looking forward to hearing his gratuitous antiamerican remarks inserted in inappropriate times.

NBC networks eye 416 hours of Olympics coverage

There IS a God!

And He apparently hates NBC.

When is NBC's contract for coverage up?

They have been the worst, with their delayed coverage, split coverage, and only selected events coverage.

The Olympic Committee would do better to allow direct Internet feeds, rather than the sporadic and delayed scheduling crap NBC has provided.
