A Zogby survey of 3,900 Arabs in Morocco, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates has uncovered massive distrust of U.S. motives in the Middle East.

Sheesh, Buchanan! It took a Zogby poll to tell you Arabs mistrust the United States? This has been a fact of life in the Middle East for at least the last 55-60 years. Who knows -- maybe it goes back to the days of the Barbary pirates.

Why don't you tell the truth for a change, Buchanan. What sticks in your craw is the fact that the U.S. and Israel are close allies. You want us to sell Israel out to the Arabs, plain and simple.

As for this little bit of ugliness -- "Has Bush ever raised his voice to Ariel Sharon?" -- it might have played as legit only a few weeks ago. However, since the Israeli PM's massive stroke, it is just a pointless, consciously mean-spirited jab at a friendship between two men that goes back before either became leader of their respective nations.

You, Pat Buchanan, are nothing more than a mean, ugly throwback to the 1930's and Father Coughlin.

If you think about it, the distrust probably goes back AT LEAST to the crusades. Hell AQ STILL brings that up.
