No poinsettias for us this Christmas.NO need to deprive yourself of a lovely plant. Just check out your local nursery and ask the grower if he grew them from seed or got tiny plants from somewhere else, THEN you could ask if this family supplied them.
I'm from San Diego. This is where they
grow the poinsettias. 99% (my guess) of the plants sold here are from the Ecke Ranch.
I seem to remember now, last year there was a concern about the family losing money because the plants were coming up from Mexico.
Apparently that is a good thing!
