He's BAAAAACK! Yup, Prince Alberta, newly relocated to the liberal mecca of San Francisco ensconsed in his new multi-million $$ condo, working in the venture capital field (all bad things when he was running for the WH) will today crawl out from under his rock to deliver himself of a major address about the "evils of executive power"

Bob Barr should never show his face at any conservative meeting ever again. To allow his name to be used for such a terrible accusation is just reprehensible, in the worst way.

He's doomed for getting in bed with this speech

Surely, on the 6 o'clock news, Barr will disavow ever saying that.

Terrific. Gore ad libs that the issue of the appointment of a special counsel should be an issue in every Congressional race this year.

The only special counsel I would support would be one who was charged with looking into who leaked that NSA information to the New York Times.

Other than that, as far as I am concerned Al Gonzalez can start rounding people up, starting with Gore and Barr.

The room looks like Federal "career" employees who are part of the faction that believe that they run American policy, and who resent everyone in President Bush's admin who dare to make and affect policy.

Al "No Controlling Legal Authority" has some nerve talking about the "Rule of Law" and accusing the president of "breaking the law". This guy is an abomination.

The Toon Administration was one of the most corrupt this nation has ever experienced - unfortunately it has all been swept under the rug and most of it the public will never see. And the RATS have the gall to state the Bush2 Admin is the most secretive ever and that Bush2 lives in a bubble world. The LLL has gone completely off their rockers and I look forward to '06 and '08 with great pleasure. The "to be released" Barrett report this Thursday is a fine example - 100 pages out of 400 are redacted and we are not talking national secret classified data here folks!! I want some Toon whistle blowers to come forward and I want Toon to suffer more than just loosing his law license - he put this country into a very damaged defense state giving secrets to China in exchange for campaign contributions, secrets running loose from Los Alamos, etc.

I wonder how it feels to be a former VP, make a "major" speech in which you demand impeachment proceedings, and then nothing happens?

That's gotta hurt!

The LLL just keeps spouting this over and over in the attempt to say it often enough so the masses believe it (those without access to alternate media).

Guess they do not realize yet that the masses listen more to talk radio then then watch the nightly news. Nice job Al in giving the Talk Radio hosts endless ammunition for the next 48 hours.

I think it's perfectly fine to make a captured terrorist wear pink bunny pajamas. And to listen to Barney songs all day long.

Can't find where or when Barr said this.

Presidential Snooping Damages the Nation
Bush has put himself above the law and in the company of rogues
By BOB BARR

Jan. 9, 2006

Back in the 1930s, when confronted with clear evidence he had violated the law, Georgia's then agriculture commissioner and gubernatorial candidate Eugene Talmadge popped his bright red suspenders and dared those accusing him of corruption to do something about it, declaring, " Sure, I stole, but I stole for you." He was elected Governor in 1932. Accused of breaking the law in the current debate over electronic spying, President George W. Bush has, in his own way, dared the American people to do something about it. For the sake of our Constitution, I hope they will.
