U.S. helicopter shot down in Iraq - witnesses
BAGHDAD, Jan 16 (Reuters) - A U.S. helicopter was shot down north of Baghdad on Monday, witnesses said.
They said they saw a rocket hit the helicopter. The U.S. military said it was checking the incident.

I hate these things, too. I just e-mailed a friend at Taji.
The news media usually gets hold of this stuff before I do, but I'll certainly let you know if I hear anything.

Curious where you got this, I checked all the reuters links on Drudge and nothing there. Is there another site with Reuters breaking news? Did you get this from the net/TV/ or from "personal" (work) sources?
