He is just reinforcing the image that he is "EVERYMAN".
The wife cut off his allowance since he lost the election. Like Bubba Klinton, he's traveling the world because he and Tarayza can't stand to be in the same area code together.
I thought that was his Iowa farm-boy outfit.
