A couple of years ago, I think it was the CMA show that they had some puff from Queer Eye For The Straight Guy on, and Dolly was doing a whole schtick with him, and really overdoing it. I realized then that NYC had finally taken over country music, and were hell bent on forcing there values down our throats (pun intended).
Then, this year I think, they had Elton John on. Most people out in the country, and those of us who listen to it, because we identify with it, can't stand the citification of country.
Next thing you know they'll make a movie with gay cowboys.

Ironically, they insisted on holding those CMA awards here in Manhattan this past fall -- even though New York City has about a dozen Spanish-language radio stations and not a single country station. How bizarre is that?
