What's wrong with "Marrying up"?

Women have been doing it for recorded history?

:)

You know the Avis commercial where the Hertz employee is chatting on the phone with her friend when a male customer asks for a map. She says "I gave you a map" and goes back to chatting with her friend. He says incredulously "No, you didn't" (the shock the guy expresses is funny)...but she doesn't "get it" and the scene shifts to the customer showing up at Avis. Social and economic globalization is all about reducing "I gave you a map" on a macro scale.

Take for instance some loser getting a certain Filipino bride who really only wants him for citizenship in the USA. The foreigner replaces an American woman who now has to compete with other American women for a better class of male who isn't a loser. Automatically, globalization has increased the number of American women competing for the better American men. Then you see doctors and lawyers and movie producers from the Blue States (New York and LA and SF) heading for Moscow where they spend $300 per night in the best hotels looking for conservative women with family values...and finding them (rich guys are mostly not dumb enough to choose mercenary women). You end up with a squeeze from both sides back in the USA. But great, friendly conservative women, born and bred in the USA, are still valued incredibly highly when they don't have a "take it or leave it" attitude. Social market forces predict more conservative American women and not just because so many Americans turned conservative on 9-11.
