"The ever-vigilant CHP. They always get their man (or car)."
Sure! I had a pickup stolen and a month later one of my superintendants found it and it had been parked in front of a house OWNED BY A CHP OFFICER FOR 3 WEEKS!

My favorite was the 67.
I owned an 87, like this one. It was a great ride.

When I was in high school, the music teacher had some students steal his Vette and strip it, so that he could get the insurance company to restore it.

Gee, maybe they'll find my Honda stolen in '81.
Took a pro forma report, told me it will turn up in 3 days, and were gone.

What are the police doing looking for a car that was boosted 37 years ago. How many man hours went into this. What a colossal waste of time while real and violent crime in the present was taking place.

It was stolen in '69, doesn't say what year it was. That's why I said "if" it was new the year it was stolen.

Don't "reporters" ask any questions these days, or are they just afraid they'll fill up the internet with too many words? Since it was stolen in 1969, it couldn't have been "Bush's fault". Thus, there was no point in pursuing the story...

The company where I work was founded by making the C1 1954
We still have all the body molds going back to the C1.
We no longer make the exterior parts but make all the Carbon-Fiber and the comples composite parts for the cockpit

They were actually called lakepipes; reference to the great salt flats, I believe.
They would burn your legs, though.

Once drove one from Orlando to Palm Beach in 85 minutes. Damn, that was fun! Blew by a FL Highway Patrolman at 110 mph and he never came after me. Must have looking the other way. Thank God.> the got the stolen car, now they're looking for you....

There was no insurance on the 1969 car according to an article in today's Los Angeles times.
