Europeans Say Iran Talks Reach 'Dead End'

BERLIN - The British, French and German foreign ministers said Thursday that negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program had reached a "dead end" and the Islamic republic should be referred to the U.N. Security Council for possible sanctions.

The ministers called for a special session of the International Atomic Energy Agency to decide the referral. The ministers' call came two days after Iran broke U.N. seals at a uranium enrichment plant and said it was resuming nuclear research after a two-year freeze.

Enriched uranium can be used as a fuel for both nuclear energy and nuclear weapons.

"From our point of view, the time has come for the U.N. Security Council to become involved," German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said.

The dummies in Europe will finally wake up? Yeah sure, and I have this bridge to sell ya

Its so obvious whats going on its not even funny. Iran will risk the international isolation gladly to get the nukes. They saw how it worked for North Korea and there they now have the nukes and the thugs are still in charge.

Its obvious they want to go the same road. Will we or anybody do anything to stop them? Doubtful-Maybe Israel, but at this point I think the world community is going to sit back and just let it happen, and that includes us.

Sanctions? LOL yeah like they really work

I think news media can write this headline and copy/paste it for the next few years and save themselves allot of time.

My prediction for a headline to a story in 2007: World Community Growing Weary of Iran Nuke Talks.

The same headline will run at least twice a week until then.

The Dead End that's coming will leave a lot of Iranians not able to quake their boots.

Iran had better watch her step or else Europe will issue a *very* strongly worded letter of protest. On the other hand,Israel will respond,at the proper time,in a rather more "tangible" way.

Or the Headline in 2007 reads: "Earthquake in Iran due to Underground Nuclear Bomb testing - 200 people killed - Iranian Government says "Bush's Fault"!
