D.C. Council member Marion Barry tested positive for cocaine use in the fall in a drug test ordered by a court after he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor tax charges, according to two sources familiar with Barry's case.
-snip-
Because he violated the terms of his release, Barry, 69, faces an increased risk of serving the maximum 18 months behind bars -- rather than probation -- for his failure to file tax returns for six years. He is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 8, but a federal judge could jail him or sanction him at any time.

OK, it couldn't happen to a more deserving guy, but why are they giving a drug test to someone found guilty of tax evasion?
Yeah. Those two yoots were "carrying his groceries." Riiiiiiight. Maybe if he buys his lettuce in 8-balls.
What's he worried about anyway? He's already a convicted felon. He's got nothing to lose. He'll get re-elected to City Council from that ward as many times as he wants. He could walk down the street carrying a bloody machete and a severed head and he'd get 90% of the vote...as long as the severed head was white.

Doesn't coke go out of your system in 24 hours? Didn't he know he was gonna be in court...geez
You're assuming 'ol Marion's able to go longer than 24 hours for his fix...
. . . 'cuz CRACK KILLS.
He ain't get no R E S P E C T.
Hahaha, yes, I did, even though I heard this story on the radio this morning and laughed over it.
--I knew it too! LOL
