EXACTLY! I doubt this guy was even in anything substantial. Sounds like he read the book to find out what his coworkers were doing while he worked in the NSA cafeteria.
Also everything he says is covered in The Code Breakers by David Kahn, first published in 1973.
I guess nobody reads any books nowadays.
That's not relevant to his responsibilities with respect to being a cleared employee with briefings on specific topics. I've seen stuff printed in the newspaper that I knew to be classified information. I would be in direct violation of my clearances to utter the same verbage. He doesn't get a pass on the caveats and penalties. Pulling his clearance just limits further access. When classified information is revealed, it comes with a signature on the document. You read it, sign it and shut the hell up. He needs a lifelong vacation at Leavenworth.
