this is not about the rest of the country, it's about the soundbites that'll be played on the morning shows.

About which may 6-8 million people will hear and care. The significant bulk of their 10-12 Million viewers will just tune it out as noise. There is a reason only about 50-55% vote in this country MOST people do NOT care. MEANWHILE, the top three radio hosts, who listeners DO care enough to tune in just to hear their take are going to be talking to about 25 MILLION people tomorrow. TURN OFF the Junk Media. Listening to the junk media to get your "news" is the modern day equivilent of listen to Radio Berlin in 1943 to see how the Allies are doing. They are the ENEMY. Quit giving them more crediblity then they deserve. They reach LESS people then the Talk Radio hosts. FOX News reachs more people then the other 3 cable outlets. THEY do NOT run the world anymore. Their BIGGEST demographic is the over 55%. They are a DYING breed. They DO NOT have any where NEAR the influence you all keep assigning to them.

You're right. My mother is 77 yrs. old. She gets her news from the networks, but she is well read, and politically astute. She has kept up with current events and had an interest in politics all of her life. She can see right through the talking points of the talking heads, and I think that is the case with others like her who are interested in what is happening in the world.

The younger generations, who are interested, get information from different sources these days, and the MSM no longer holds a monopoly. Everyone gravitates to their own particular "trusted sources" to get a synopsis, if they haven't had opportunity to view or listen for themselves. Regardless, everyone has pretty much formed an opinion of the reliability of the various purveyors of information, and that is factored into what they read or hear.
