And I have a stomach bug and haven't eaten since yesterday and I'm doing the same. :) Food would be really nice right now, though.

Charles Schumer is the only Senator so flatulent in speech and thought and so puerile in intent that he was instantly rendered a junior senator by having a Clinton elected to serve in tandem with him. LOL! Well said.

So far Alito has left a very good impression. No nominee of either party should be forced to go through such a disgusting, insulting gauntlet. I'm sure Judge Alito will keep his cool, although that in no way excuses the senators' behavior.

Taxman VS Board of Education?
I'd hate to be known as the Taxman.

I am shocked. As we all know, the ACLU is a wonderful organization whose judgment should be held in the highest opinion. /sarcasm

Now we just need Luttig to replace Stevens or Ginsburg. Then we will have an unstoppable dream team.

Mort kondrake on FOX just stated in his opinion that Alito is just as brilliant as Roberts and this nomination is homerun #2.

Yes, it was very touching. You could see he was moved by the information.
I am surprised anyone could still have any feelings left, after having to withstand a day of this kind of questions.
I fear I would be in a senator induced coma from it all.

as I posted on prior page - Luttig will never get the nomination from Bush IMO because of his rulings against the Administration in the WOT
