Don't you just love to crawl into your bathtub and soak and soak and soak all night long, like me?

Yes, especially when you can submerge yourself for hours.

The best storms are when the clouds are so low you could hit them with a rock and there is auroral green between the black masses and lightning cracks about a hundred feet above your head, and then heavy wet snow falls about a foot a minute.

The Coast-to-Coast freaks say there's something the military has installed up in Alaska that shoots rays into the upper atmosphere, or something. Supposedly it is what's responsible for all weird weather these days.

HAARP. That's it. That's what the Coast-to-Coast freaks have their knickers in a twist about. It's supposedly responsible.

HAARP is a local project. I know the man who got the funding for it, and I know several people who do work on the project. It is amazing the tall tales that go around about the project.

You ought to hear Noory and his whacko guests blather on about HAARP. Hilarious. I put Coast-to-Coast on sometimes when I can't sleep. It's better than a sleeping pill. If you're in the mood for some unintentional comedy,
click this link to the transcript of a live chat with some nut who claims to be a HAARP expert. Scroll down to about mid-page.

The weird thing about HAARP is that some of the alarmed types are right here in Alaska. They have even claimed that emanations from the antenna array are beamed right into houses from Delta to Fairbanks to influence our brains. The true mission of the project is also unbelievable, and maybe not practical, but much useful science is being done, and yes, it does involve the ionosphere and above.

HAARP may, in reality, involve the ionosphere and above, and I have no doubt useful science is being done. But Noory and his crowd are truly weird. Noory is also a raging Leftist, as are many of the New Age nutcases he has on the show.

" You ought to hear Noory and his whacko guests blather on about HAARP." You are talking about none other than the brother of our dear Mayor of Anchorage. The Begich's come from a long line of leftists. I never hear the good Mayor mention his brothers name.
