It's that attitude that causes people to characterize SUV's as evil.

That attitude that allows a small woman to climb into one of those things, pop open her cell phone, and drive all over the road. She doesn't care, because she's sure if there's an accident, SHE won't be injured.

I'm much more in favor of them not driving, period.

I have seen many more people talking on the cell phone in small cars. In fact, I do not think I have seen anyone in a SUV talking on the phone. They are among the safest drivers on the road. My husband has one and it is hard for a short person to drive. That is why I do not drive it unless I have to.

It has not been SUVs that have nearly hit me because the driver was not paying attention. It is drivers of cars.

My favorite is the Yuppie driving a giant SUV, while yapping on her cell phone... with a cute little "Greenpeace" bumpersticker on the back.
