I thought that was CBS. Busted on gas tank explosions, busted on papergate, . .

IIRC, NBC is the gas tank (err, model rocket engine) expert.

I just go home from work....I see Alito swearing in....

3 and 1/2 hours later and he is JUST NOW GETTING TO TALK!?!?!?!

What did I miss....other than Leahy claiming that Bush cn't pack the courts....Arlen putting peeps to sleep, and that they want "independence from Bush"? (I have no idea waht the heck the independence thing means....)

You are correct. It was NBC with the GM truck gas tank. CBS has had its share of erroneous reporting on the automotive industry, though.
