Leave Whitman alone. Personal friend. Nicest person you will ever meet, RINO or no RINO. I've never met her, and take you at your word that she is a lovely person.
So is my mother, but she (my mother) would probably not make a good governor of NJ, or a good head of the EPA.
To: EQAndyBuzz
Haha! That's funny.
Do they love you there?

And we can count on the HBM for "unbiased" report-- (cough, cough, cough, cough, oh excuse me, wheeze, cough, cough, cough)

He went 11 minutes without referring to his notes--spoke with restrained passion about the importance of the rule of law and his role as a judge to not argue for/against a client--but to interpret and apply the law as objectively as a thinking feeling human being can. I am IMPRESSED!

but, Kennedy was just as bad Sean Hannity is nailing Kennedy about his minority comment with regards to Ali oh toe
Is it over for the day?? .. Did Alito speak???

"I expect every word by the Judge will be challenged by the 'rats including the the's and the and's."
They seem to just like conflict for the sake of conflict. So no matter what you say, something will be wrong with it because they take it all out of context and apply slimey rules known only by the accuser.

Nah. I figure Teddy is pickled anyway, so he can't grow bacteria. ; ).

I've seen it in a few places, notably the Washington Times and CNN, which is the specific place that I got it from.

By bus. Heheheh. Yep - that was the story he told, and used it to show that he would strive to give not that answer, but the answer that reaches the question in the questioner's mind.
Did you hear his opening statement? Just curious, not meant as critical - he did a good job. Sounded a little nervous, but set out a good personal background.
To: pollyannaish
Here's a preview of tomorrow's line of questioning..... Kennedy: Judge, are you prejudiced against minorities?
Alito: Senator, are you drunk?

That's probably true. Do you recall the uproar about a document that a Republican staffer obtained electronically? While Democrats naturally blustered about spying, the contents of the document detailed which organizations required which votes for which nominees.

Lol very true. I should have known better than to pay any attention to that. They would do anything to make Alito look like an idiot.

While I disagree with her on occasion...I've always liked her. So I'll stick up for her with you.
Alito is the perfect contrast to Roberts. I'm really looking forward to more.
To: ilovew
:-) The great thing is that the more effort they put into it, the more it backfires.
