I knew a Designer Commie when I was in High School. This kid sat in World History class reading his copy of Capital and wore a beret a la Chez. However, he also wore designer jeans and shirts and drove a nice car; all of these things were given to him by his permissive parents and he thought that "work" was a dirty word when used in reference to him. He didn't need to toil; after all, he was the vanguard of the proletariat.

Exactly. You hit the nail right on the head... you just mentioned the typical American commie. I met a few myself.
