I'm 68 and retirement isn't even a consideration.

Methinks Lorianne is in la-la-land.

I doubt it- I know many companies thaty force people to retire at 65. It's different for everyone.

"Methinks Lorianne is in la-la-land."

Methinks the two of you are either very low wage earners or clueless about finances if you'll both have to still be working fulltime when you're nearing 70!

So, what's the scoop? Divorces and kids to still support? Illness? Death of a spouse who was a good wage-earner? Time in jail? Bad investment advice? Living beyond your means? Recovering from a bankruptcy?

I'm just always curious when I run across people that will have to work well into their retirement years. You serve as motivation to me to stay my course and be retired in another 10 years at age 55...whether or not my husband trades me in for a younger model. Oh, wait! I AM the "Younger Model" right now...better start flirting with the Old Geezers around town, LOL!

(You don't have to answer if your circumstances are too embarassing, of course!)
