"'I'm surprised,' his lawyer, Dogan Yildirim, told The Associated Press by telephone. 'If its true, justice will finally be served.'"
???...."true justice"?...Somebody going to give him the punishment he deserves???

"oops embarassing wrong-thread post"
Oh, I thought they were playing a game to see who gets to put a bullet in Agca's head.

Agree but statements such as ....
Agca reportedly identified with the Gray Wolves, a far right-wing militant group that fought street battles against leftists in the 1970s. He first confessed to killing Ipekci, one of the country's most prominent left-wing newspaper columnists, but later retracted his statements.
Statements such as these make for the same mixed emotions such as when ones mother in law drives ones new mercedes off a cliff per se.....:o)

Additional info...
"He (Dahmer) was beaten with a preacher bar (a part of the weight machine) and not a broom. That's the reason we don't have free weights any more in Wisconsin prisons."
"I believe his death was an inside job ... all of the officers that where working in the gym that day retired a few months later."

"a story about the end times of an enlightened Mayan Civilization ...whose calendar ended in the year 2012 AD..!!!"
Hadn't you heard? The world already ended....at least a dozen times that I recall: asteroids, plagues, global warming, global cooling, globalization, alien invasion (well, that one's true), solar explosions.....none of us are really here right now.

He never killed anyone (to my knowledge) and he's served 25 years. That's hardly a slap on the wrist. If he'd shot a liquor store owner, he'd have been out years ago.
To: FerdieMurphy
Hinkley is just a few months away from being permanently released. I bet Jody just thrilled about that.
To: Graybeard58
He was also convicted of killing a journalist, if my memory is correct.
But that's ok because killing any infidel is always a good Moslem thing....[sarc] or maybe not....
To: Graybeard58
The Pope forgave him a long time ago. I haven't.

No offence but an anonymous poster on a website is not exactly what I would call a definitive source. Ill stick to the official version of Dahmers death until a more reputable (at least one that is willing to put his name on his story) source comes forward to tell a different story.

Although I think it's BS, we can't come down too hard on them when we are releasing Hinkley on weekends for love fests with his mommy and daddy. But Sirhan Sirhan has not seen the outside of a jail since, what, 1968? I think the message is clear; If you are going to shoot someone, shoot a conservative.

Reminds me of the Eric Clapton song.
"I shot the Pontiff..."
To: thoughtomator
Put him in a sealed room with Hinckley and Dahmer, one knife, and a dinner plate.

Dahmer's been dead ten years. Killed in prison.

Why would the Turkish military allow a convicted assassin-who almost succeeded in murdering the Pope-to serve in uniform?
To: thoughtomator
embarrassing wrong-thread post. LOL.
Not quite as embarrassing as the performance of the Giants defense today.
To: Brian Mosely
Notice how the thugs who shot the pope and Ronald Reagan will be freed but the criminal who shot John Lennon will be in jail for life.

Turkey=Muslim+Europeanesque. So this is not unexpected.
To: AlaninSA
"Upon his return to Turkey, Agca immediately was sent to prison to serve a 10-year sentence for murdering Turkish journalist Abdi Ipekci in 1979."
You and the late Pope are free to forgive him all you want, but since he is not only an attempted assassin of the Pope but an actual murderer of that journalist he should never get out of prison. Just how many murderers have to be released before we learn how few of them are 'rehabilitated'????
