1. Jerusalem will return again to Jewish hands shortly before the Second Coming (Luke 21:24):
2. Sometime before the Second Coming, 2/3 of the Jews in the "whole land" will be exterminated (Zechariah 13:8-9). During the Holocaust, almost exactly 2/3 of Europe's Jews perished.
3. The Jewish nation will be reborn in a single day (Isaiah 66:5-8). This was literally fulfilled on May 14, 1948. The modern State of Israel was born in a single day following the passage of UN Resolution 181.
4. Jews will be regathered to Israel from around the entire world. (Ezekiel 36:22-28) and (Jeremiah 16:14-15). The current return of the Jews to Israel apparently even includes Jews from the ten lost tribes. Over the past decade about 600 "B'nei Manashe", a tribe from the Indian-Burmese border, have immigrated to Israel. They believe themselves to be the lost tribe of Manassah, exiled from Israel by the Assyrians in 723 BC. Their oral tradition speaks of the Patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; they circumcise male children on the 8th day, as required by Jewish law; use prayer shawls with fringes, as do Jews; practice ritual purification as described in the OT; and follow many other ancient Jewish religious customs. Their priests use the Hebrew name of God as it appears in the Torah ("Yahweh") and invoke Mt. Sinai, Mt. Moriah and Mt. Zion.
5. The new Jewish state shall be extremely prosperous (Isaiah 66:9-4).
6. The fight over the city of Jerusalem will cause a world war (Zechariah 12:1-3; Joel 3:2 and Revelation 16:16).
7. But Israel will be miraculously militarily strong and able to successfull defend itself (Zechariah 12:6-9).
8. There will be widespread conversion of the Jews.. It is this last one that has not yet been fulfilled.

Smells of multiculturalist gibberish. One doesn't need to understand the 'why' behind the acts of terrorists. Their deaths are deterrents. Let them think what they want (Mohammed didn't diddle 9 year olds, etc.)...but the minute they act against the U.S., they must be destroyed. Rome didn't ask for therapy sessions to understand Carthage. Rome destroyed it. If you want to hug a jihadist, feel free to do so. Don't expect the U.S. to understand the acts of an irrational death cult.
To clarify what I mean by "understanding" these beliefs:
Every faithful Muslim accepts a set of End Time beliefs, just like every faithful Christian accepts the Book of Revelations in some interpretation. There are lots -- I mean LOTS -- I mean L O T S of Muslims who believe that the Last Days are coming soon.
Now, they don't all turn terrorist and they aren't all automatically anti-West.
But some of them are terrorists and anti-West.
There's really a delicate balance involved here. Because of the Qur'an's emphasis on "jihad" you need a careful set of interpretations in order to create a nonviolent outlook of the End Time hadith.
Mr. Yahya has one such version here. I tend to ignore them, but this article seemed like a good one to have posted at Free Republic, as FR serves as a repository of information.
As for the violent interpretations, it doesn't mean that you want to "hug a jihadist" to say that it's important to know that an enemy not only hates you, but has a book where his god guarantees him in prophecy that his side is going to be 100% victorious. And that there is no future, anyway, because the End of Time is coming soon. Someone who believes that is more dangerous than an enemy who simply disagrees with your politics, economics, support for Israel, etc.
Which is why I get so frustrated that for the last four years, hardly any attention has been paid to how these Muslim End-Time belief systems intersect with Islamic terrorism -- and zero attention from any government or major media, at least in public.
I support President Bush and the "War on Terror," including his policy in Iraq. But I wish that he's address this factor in that fight. Or assign some lower-level politico to at least mention it as an aside.
Our brave servicemen and women need all the information about the enemy -- and Muslim friends -- that is available.

OPINION:
Short Version:
AMERICA IS FIGHTING A WAR AGAINST TERRORISM AND TERRORISTS.
It is not a good time to be a terrorist.
That's all a terrorist really needs to know as he/she faces the "End-Times."
Important Note:
Terrorism IS terrorism.
Terrorism wrapped in "jihad" IS terrorism.
