There are lies and there are white lies. Always remember, white lies make happy marriages!
"There are lies and there are white lies. Always remember, white lies make happy marriages!"
For example, my wife's white lie a few years ago "Sure honey, I'd love living on the river"
She's never liked it here, then again, I didn't like it where we lived before, and she loved it. We had a close call with Katrina and we're seriously considering selling the place, and basically, we're getting into the same discussion once again. She wants to move back to the old neighborhood, and I would just as soon not do that. I liked seeing less of the snob squad (I mean, her friends from the old neighborhood) because we moved out here (the men are ok, but women in that area, get snotty real quick).
Though this house was sort of my dream and she went along with it, just as I went along with living on the hill for all that time. White lies are important, but in the end, every marriage is built on compromise. I'm just hoping the compromise on the house thing is a real compromise instead of a, let's just get along compromise where we move to an even snottier area of the hill.
