gave up 31 points and 560 yards on offense (including 461 yards passing) against a middle of the pack PAC 10 school
Excellent point, Bookman! Didn't LSU barely beat the lowly PAC 10 ASU team by a mere three points? The same team USC pounded 45-7?
Correction that was their score in 2004, in 2005 it was 38-28.
Where is ASU ranked, and where is LSU ranked? Who won the game when they played? LSU did, of course.
Big difference from first game to end of season.
But, your point is well taken...I believe ASU, UCLA, Oregon, and USC all have good offenses. Of the defenses I have watched this year, I think UCLA was the worst....having said that, my point is about the defense of the conference overall. I only mentioned ASU because I heard the announcer during the bowl game mention that they were ranked 113th (114th now).
I don't believe any team in the SEC is better than USC right now...however, I believe that if USC had to play in the SEC the last three years, they would have more than one loss.
Ahh you mean the game that LSU played after having to share thier Dorm Rooms with Hurricane refugees, being unable to practice for over a week because thier stadium was being used by FEMA, had to move thier HOME GAME to Arizona St, then had thier only practices on a high school field for 2-3 days before the Ariz St. Game.
A game which they also happened to win despite all that?
Is that the game to which you refer? Yeah, that is a real fair assessment of LSU.
