I think you need to reread the rules. On an interception the ground cannot cause a fumble nor a incomplete if the player intercepting catches it in the air.

Are you sure? I understand that if he gets control and then his knee hits down before the drop, then its a completion. But if he hits the ground ball first ball first and it jars the ball out, then its got to be either an incomplete pass or a fumble.
